This summer, Mekong Kingdoms is inviting travellers to experience the majestic Mekong River most exclusively with the launch of private charters aboard Bohème, a 50-meter river cruiser. Available from June to September, this new offering allows families and groups to reserve the entire vessel for a three-night journey from the UNESCO World Heritage town of Luang Prabang to Xayaboury and back.
Bohème’s Private Charter package is designed for multigenerational gatherings, milestone trips, and memorable reunions with friends. It offers total privacy, personalized service, and immersive cultural exploration in effortless comfort. With 13 suites that accommodate up to 26 guests, Bohème provides the charm of a grand floating residence, complete with butler service, cultural excursions, onboard spa treatments, and world-class dining.
The lead guest can relax in the spacious 60-square-meter Royal Suite, which features a luxurious freestanding bath and a private balcony. This is the perfect spot to enjoy the picturesque views of jungle-clad hills, tranquil villages, and sacred riverbanks as they drift by.
The three-night all-inclusive itinerary features gourmet meals and fine wines from around the world. It includes complimentary airport transfers and offers the opportunity for pre- or post-cruise stays at Avani+ Luang Prabang at special rates. Families are warmly welcomed, with family-friendly excursions, spacious open-plan living areas, and flexible dining options available for children and infants.
Guests will embark on a journey to the sacred Pak Ou Caves, where thousands of devotional images rest within the limestone grottoes. They can immerse themselves in local craftsmanship by creating traditional handmade Saa paper from mulberry bark and flowers in Ban Xang Khong, and they can also try their hand at Laotian pottery techniques in the artisan village of Ban Chan Neua. Nature lovers will appreciate a refreshing dip beneath the turquoise cascades of the Kuang Si Waterfalls. At the same time, animal enthusiasts can meet friendly animals and support local initiatives at the Laos Buffalo Dairy Farm.
Each day flows relaxedly on board, featuring early morning birdwatching, yoga by the riverbank, spa therapies, cocktail classes, and luxurious long-table dinners under the stars. Every moment is customized to suit the group’s preferences, with a dedicated crew of 20—including a cruise manager, head chef, spa therapist, and tour guide—ensuring a seamless and deeply personalized experience.
