ITB Berlin, the world’s largest travel trade show, provides a platform for showcasing these innovations. From March 4th to 6th, 2025, the eTravel Stage, a key component of the ITB Berlin Convention, will focus on technological advancements and digital progress in the travel industry. Experts will have the opportunity to share their knowledge with a global audience of trade visitors across five thematic tracks. With the ITB Innovators, ITB Berlin highlights the visionaries in the travel industry. This forward-looking platform will showcase the latest products, innovations, and services from ITB Berlin’s exhibitors that have the potential to impact the industry long-term. Call for papers: ITB Berlin eTravel Stage Travel industry specialists are invited to contribute actively to the convention programme. At live sessions, they can present their ideas, case studies, best practices, and reports on their experiences in travel technology and digitalisation to an industry audience that includes travel industry executives, a wide range of decision-makers from eCommerce to IT, international industry professionals, media representatives, bloggers, young professionals, and students. Topic headings range from AI and Travel Technology for a sustainable future to Mixed Reality, Web3 and Hotel Technology. The call for papers is open now and free of charge for anyone involved in the digital transformation of the travel industry. The final selection of entries for the eTravel Stage will be made by the Board of Experts of ITB Berlin and the convention team. Applications can be submitted until 31 October 2024. Entries for ITB Innovators 2025 can be submitted now Since 2023, ITB Berlin’s ITB Innovators has been a platform for exhibiting companies to present innovations with the potential to impact the travel industry by driving social, economic or technological change. Startups and established companies can submit their pioneering solutions to the ITB Innovators team, who will examine them free of charge. Ideas can be submitted until 17 January 2025. ITB 360° – Travel Hero Podcast: the prospects for innovations in tourism In addition to being in the spotlight at ITB Berlin in March, trends and developments in the digital transformation of the tourism industry are the main focus at ITB 360° all year round. With its specialist content, interviews and the Travel Hero Podcast, ITB 360° offers a 365-day platform for groundbreaking ideas and industry pioneers. The latest episode of the Travel Hero Podcast entitled ’Tech Travel: AI Transforming the Future of Tourism’ looks at AI’s prospects in the travel industry. Industry experts Leila Summa of Play To Change, Markus Stumpe, CEO of Cruisewatch, and Christian Watts, CEO of Magpie Travel, share their insights and discuss this technology's opportunities. About ITB Berlin and the ITB Berlin Convention and ITB 360° ITB Berlin 2025 is scheduled to take place from Tuesday, March 4, to Thursday, March 6, as a B2B event. ITB Berlin has been the world's leading travel trade show since 1966. The ITB Berlin Convention, a live event, will run concurrently with the show at the Berlin Exhibition Grounds. This year's theme is 'Pioneer the Transition in Travel & Tourism. Together.' The convention will feature leading speakers from business, science, and politics, addressing current and future industry challenges across four stages and 17 theme tracks. The event is expected to draw over 24,000 visitors. In 2024, ITB Berlin hosted more than 5,500 exhibitors from 170 countries and territories, showcasing their products and services to nearly 100,000 visitors.
