The Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, marked its participation in the IMEX trade show in Frankfurt, Germany, from May 14-16, 2024.

At the event, the Ministry set up its own pavilion which was inaugurated by M. R. Synrem, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. The Ministry presented India as a leading destination for MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions) to the global business market and encouraged more and more conferences and conventions to take place in the nation. The Ministry also highlighted India as a 365-day dream destination, showcasing its variety in climate, landscapes, and adventures. To push for the same, the Ministry introduced its Meet in India campaign, a specialised sub-brand of the Incredible India campaign.

Meet in India aimed to enhance promotional initiatives within the country and highlight India as a dream MICE destination for organisations. It also underlined India’s excellent connectivity, accessibility to the digital and outside world, and world-class infrastructure that mixes business with pleasure.

IMEX at a glance

IMEX in Frankfurt is an annual trade show, one of the largest in Europe, that aims to bring together “global meetings, events, and incentive travel industry.” It sees in attendance more than 3800 global planners and around 2900 suppliers from around the world.
