Minister for Excise & Prohibition, Tourism and Culture, Telangana, Jupally Krishna Rao, has announced the government’s plan to transform the Indian state into a destination wedding hub.
Telangana: New Wedding Destination for India
The announcement was made as Rao addressed the media at a conference in Hyderabad on July 3. He said that the government wants to turn the state, known for its beauty, into a perfect wedding destination spot as the place offers great potential. Areas like Somasila, Ramappa, Laknavaram Nagarjuna Sagar, and Ananthagiri Hills will be transformed into destination wedding hubs in the state. To develop the wedding sector in Telangana, the government will also soon announce a draft policy.
He mentioned that in addition to wedding tourism, special focus will be given to ecotourism, religious tourism, and medical tourism in the state. He also mentioned the poor state of the tourism industry in the state during the past ten years and promised tangible progress in the next six months.
