Maldives Tourism Roadshow to be Held in India

The Maldives Association of Travel Agents and Tour Operators, National Hotels and Guest House Association of Maldives, and Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation will jointly hold Maldives Tourism roadshow in India.

The Maldives Association of Travel Agents and Tour Operators (MATATO) and National Hotels & Guest House Association of Maldives (NHGAM), together with Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC), have announced a joint roadshow across India to promote Maldives as a leading tourist destination.

This strategic initiative aims to strengthen the Maldives’ presence in the Indian market, which is one of the fastest-growing outbound tourism markets in the world. The roadshow will showcase the Maldives' unique offerings, including its pristine beaches, beautiful resorts and guesthouses, vibrant marine life, and rich cultural heritage.

Roadshow Details

The roadshow will take place in three major cities – Bangaluru, New Delhi, and Mumbai. It will be held in Bangaluru on July 22, 2024. In Mumbai, it will be on July 24, and in Delhi, it will be held on July 26, 2024.

The roadshow will feature presentations by key representatives from industry, highlighting the latest tourism developments, travel packages, and exclusive deals tailored for Indian travellers. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with Maldivian travel industry stakeholders, including resort, guesthouses, liveaboards and hotel operators, tour companies, and airline representatives.

The roadshow will be supported by IATO

The roadshow will be supported IATO, India’s premier travel trade body which represents over 1,800 tour operators across India. As India remains a pivotal market for the Maldives, the roadshow will showcase India the unparalleled hospitality and beauty Maldives can offer to tourists.

After being hit with boycotts in January, Maldives has been trying to repair severed ties and attract Indian tourists to the country ever since.
