Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel has announced a culinary residency with Indian Accent, the modern Indian restaurant, as it celebrates 15 years of culinary excellence. This residency will bring Indian Accent’s inventive flavours to Bangkok, offering guests a truly extraordinary dining experience. The pop-up will run for four weeks, from September 7th to 22nd and October 1st to 15th. There will be a short break during the World Gourmet Festival hosted at Anantara Siam at the end of September.
Indian Accent is well-known for its innovative approach to Indian food, blending traditional flavours with modern cooking techniques. The contemporary menu combines fresh seasonal produce and unique ingredients from around the world to excite adventurous tastes while satisfying traditional palates. Indian Accent has won numerous awards and is currently recognized as the Best Restaurant in India by Condé Nast Traveller and La Liste. It has been featured on Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants list for over 12 years and also on the World’s 50 Best Restaurants list.
Indian Accent will showcase a selection of its signature dishes during the residency. These dishes are known for redefining Indian dining on a global scale. Executive Chef Shantanu Mehrotra of Indian Accent New Delhi has curated a special menu featuring dishes that combine traditional flavors with contemporary flair, each telling its own unique story. Mehrotra will be joined by Head Chef Hitesh Lohat and a team of chefs and managers from Indian Accent, New Delhi, to provide guests with the authentic Indian Accent experience in Bangkok.
Offered as either a tasting menu or à la carte selection for lunch and dinner, the residency promises to enthral guests’ taste buds by offering traditional dishes in innovative new ways, showcasing Indian Accent’s inventive take on Indian cuisine.
Here are some items from the non-vegetarian menu: braised lamb shank, barley haleem, sweet onion curry, raw fish, sago and peanut vada, malai chicken, gobindobhog mushroom payesh, and fresh truffles. On the other hand, the vegetarian menu features sweet corn mutha, masala methi roti, fresh burrata, tofu medu vada, pearl onion chutney, pickled beetroot, roomali paneer, and flame-roasted tomato and peanut salad.
