Guindy Railway Station is being revamped under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme
Southern Railway, on X (formerly Twitter), has announced that Guindy Railway Station is currently undergoing a major transformation under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. According to the post, significant transformation work is being done to improve the railway station’s parking area, booking office building, roofing sheets in PF 1&2, and lifts. The station will soon be revamped, and all areas will be open to public access.

Guindy Railway Station is one of the stations at the Chennai Beach-Chengalpattu section in Chennai and was first inaugurated in 1931. It has a total of 4 platforms and 4 tracks, and the platforms can accumulate 24 coaches express trains.
