In a statement, the German consulate in Karachi, Pakistan, has said that it is temporarily suspending its services in the city for non-EU citizens due to “security concerns”.
Not An EU Citizen? No German Visa For You
The German Embassy in Karachi will no longer be providing visa facilities for non-EU citizens for the time being. The decision comes as a result of rising militant and terrorist violence in the country. Recent news has also reported that various foreign nationals and police officers are being targeted and attacked in the nation – a senior counter-terrorism official was shot dead last week, five Japanese workers escaped a suicide attack in April, Chinese working on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor project have been targeted etc.
