Brigade and IHG Join Forces

IHG Hotels & Resorts, a leading global player in the hospitality industry, and Brigade Group, a prominent property developer in India, have formed a strategic partnership through a management agreement. This partnership aims to introduce the prestigious InterContinental brand in Telangana with the launch of InterContinental Hyderabad Neopolis. The new hotel is scheduled to open in 2029 and will be a significant part of Brigade’s upcoming mixed-use development, which presents a wealth of business opportunities for stakeholders.

InterContinental is a globally acclaimed luxury hotel brand with over 220 hotels in over 60 countries. In 2021, InterContinental celebrated its 75th Diamond Anniversary, and it remains the world’s largest and premier luxury hotel brand. The brand achieved a significant milestone in 2023 with 100 hotels and resorts in its pipeline, marking a 45% expansion in its network.

The planned InterContinental Hyderabad Neopolis will feature 300 rooms and offer five dining options, including a signature restaurant, two speciality restaurants, and a lobby lounge. The hotel will also provide comprehensive facilities such as conferencing spaces, a fitness centre, a spa, a swimming pool, a recreational area, and a retail outlet. It is designed to accommodate MICE demands and significant social events, including eight meeting rooms and a large ballroom.

IHG operates 46 hotels across five brands in India, which include Six Senses, InterContinental Hotels and Resorts, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn Resort, and Holiday Inn Express. Additionally, a robust pipeline of 49 hotels is slated to open within the next 3 to 5 years.
