Hyatt Opens Sarena de Muro Resort Mallorca, Introducing Destination by Hyatt Brand to the Island

Hyatt Hotels Corporation has officially opened Sarena de Muro Resort Mallorca, marking the Destination by Hyatt brand’s entry into Mallorca, Spain. This opening strengthens Hyatt’s presence in Europe and aligns with its ongoing brand expansion across key travel destinations.

Nature-Inspired Location

Located near S’Albufera Natural Park, the resort offers guests a peaceful setting among coastal dunes and one of Mallorca’s scenic beaches. Guests can also visit nearby attractions such as the Roman ruins of Pollentia and Cape Formentor.

Rooms and Design

The hotel features 184 guest rooms and suites designed with calming colours drawn from the local environment. Interiors reflect the Mediterranean setting with traditional architecture, local artwork, and views of the sea. Rooms feature modern amenities, including 55-inch smart TVs.

Dining

There are four dining options on-site, led by Michelin-starred chef Andreu Genestra, the Culinary Director. Each restaurant emphasizes seasonal ingredients and local flavours:

• Biniterra: Mediterranean-inspired dishes from regions like the Levant and Iberia.

• Ópalo Restaurant: A modern take on Mallorcan cuisine.

• Ópalo Lounge Bar: Tapas, cocktails, and small plates in a relaxed setting.

• Pool Club: Grilled meats, seafood, rice dishes, and desserts, served poolside.

Wellness and Leisure

The Sarena Spa offers personalized treatments using natural products from the Spanish brand Arôms Natur. Spa facilities include a hydrotherapy zone, thermal area, and private treatment rooms.

Guests can enjoy two swimming pools with stunning sea views, one of which offers direct access to the beach. The outdoor area includes loungers, Bali beds, and shaded spaces.

The resort also features a 24-hour fitness centre with natural lighting and guided morning wellness activities.
