Trademark Collection by Wyndham Makes Grand Entrance in South Korea
With the opening of La Vie D'or Hotel and Resort, Trademark Collection by Wyndham, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts formally launched its Trademark Collection brand in South Korea. The new hotel joins about 20 Trademark properties in Asia Pacific, increasing the Company's footprint to over 30 hotels in South Korea.
The La Vie D'or Hotel and Resort provide a stay in the middle of Hwaseong-si, a popular destination for travellers. Visitors can play golf on the resort's nine-hole course, savour great dining, explore nearby landmarks like the Yongjusa Temple and the Royal Tombs of Yungneung and Geolleung, or take a quick trip to Seoul and Suwon. Business travellers are provided with access to conference rooms, Wi-Fi, and neighbouring hubs for Samsung Electronics, Hyundai-Kia Motors, and other companies.
"Hotel owners in Asia Pacific continue to see the benefits of the Wyndham Advantage—global brand exposure, innovative technology, a growing loyalty base and more. Introducing Trademark to South Korea helps independent owners maximize their opportunity in the market while delivering the unique experiences each Trademark hotel offers guests exploring the country”, said Joon Aun OOI, President, Asia Pacific, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts.
An Escape Within a Bustling Business Hub
Situated in Hwaseong-si, South Korea, and thirty minutes away by car from Seoul, the La Vie D'or Hotel and Resort provides a haven for both business and pleasure guests. The resort, which occupies 330,000 square meters, has a nine-hole golf course, a fitness centre, saunas, swimming pools, and eating areas with various foreign cuisines prepared by regional chefs.
The resort's surroundings, Jeongnam-myeon, offer views away from the adjacent metropolis, making it a perfect vacation spot for those who enjoy the outdoors. With 190 rooms and various convention amenities, it is a popular venue for business meetings, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions), and weddings.
Amid the government's focus on advancing the nation's tourism industry, Wyndham's expansion with La Vie D'or Hotel & Resort represents a calculated effort to capitalize on the rising demand for business and leisure travel in South Korea. The nation saw about 11 million inbound tourists in 2023, indicating a considerable post-pandemic rebound. By 2024, the travel and tourism industry is anticipated to reach $13.66 billion.
