Jenni Benzaquen, SVP and Global Brand Leader of The Ritz-Carlton, St. Regis, and Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts “The opening of St. Regis on the Bund, Shanghai marks a pivotal moment in the brand’s expansion, as we celebrate the debut of our 60th property globally,” said Jenni Benzaquen, Senior Vice President and Global Brand Leader of The Ritz-Carlton, St. Regis, and Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts. “As one of the world’s most iconic luxury brands, St. Regis continues to set the standard for exceptional service and timeless elegance at the best addresses worldwide. With this milestone, we continue to offer our discerning guests unparalleled experiences on the Bund, blending the rich cultural heritage of Shanghai with the signature rituals and bespoke service that define St. Regis.” With its location along Shanghai's famous Bund, The St. Regis on the Bund provides views of the Huangpu River and the Pudong skyline. Nestled in one of the most historically significant areas of the city, the hotel acts as a springboard to some of Shanghai's most notable attractions, such as Yu Garden, the Shanghai Museum, Nanjing Road Walkway, and Oriental Pearl Tower. Conveniently positioned next to The Bund Finance Center, the hotel is 41 kilometres from Shanghai Pudong International Airport and 17 kilometres from Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport and the Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station. Inspired by Shanghai's culture and personality, the hotel's facade is a joint design by Heatherwick Studio and Norman Foster. The hotel's interior design immerses visitors in a story of artistic beauty and cultural refinement by fusing the lavishness of Art Deco, which is representative of Shanghai in the 1920s, with delicate magnolia patterns and meticulous Su embroidery. The hotel is home to 72 original works of art by well-known artists, tastefully displayed throughout, such as Ma Tianyu's Legend of Shanghai and Shi Qi's Splendid Orient. The 192 guest rooms at St. Regis on the Bund in Shanghai, including 13 suites, range in size from 118 to 288 square meters and provide residential-style lodging with views of the Huangpu River and the historic Bund neighbourhood. To create a location where visitors may unwind and appreciate the Shanghai-inspired design elements incorporated throughout each guest room is built with their comfort in mind. The St. Regis Butler Service, a product that offers each guest individualized care, will also be enjoyed by visitors. The hotel provides gastronomic explorations across its several locations. In its dining area and private dining rooms, the hotel's Chinese restaurant, Celestial Court, serves a blend of Huaiyang cuisine and is ideal for upscale events and celebrations. Western grills and fresh seafood are served during lunch and supper at the St. Regis Brasserie, which provides an all-day dining experience. Breakfast is served with regional Chinese and worldwide flavours. The hotel's version of the St. Regis Bloody Mary, the brand's hallmark beverage, is among the chosen cocktails available to patrons at The St. Regis Bar, a nod to its New York roots. With the blending of Zaolu, the traditional rice wine vinegar from Shanghai, and the scent of osmanthus, "The Bund Snapper" creates a distinct flavour that perfectly captures the city's spirit. By the end of the year, the Drawing Room will open as a gathering place where visitors may savour light fare and drinks as well as St. Regis's trademark customs, such as afternoon tea and the Champagne Sabrage. Visitors can escape the bustle of the city at the St. Regis Spa. It has amenities that include three private rooms that are each over 140 square meters. The spas offer customized treatments to revitalize the body and mind by fusing cutting-edge skincare technology with traditional wellness knowledge. Additionally, the hotel has a fitness centre with complimentary 24-hour access to exercise gear. The St. Regis on the Bund in Shanghai has around 1,100 square meters of event space, which includes three function rooms and the 720 square meter Astor Ballroom.
