MGallery Collection is once again participating in the global effort to fight breast cancer during Pink October. This marks the sixtieth consecutive year of their involvement. They have planned a series of initiatives and events aimed at raising funds for research and educating people about the early signs and symptoms of the disease. Breast cancer currently accounts for 30% of all diagnosed cancer cases in women. Throughout the month, MGallery Collection hotels will be incorporating pink-themed elements such as cocktails, changing facades, educational activities, and partnerships with NGOs to support this important cause.

Making a profound impact on women’s lives is central to MGallery’s mission. Whether hotel guests, employees (Heartists, as they are known internally), or local members of the community, the brand strives to support and amplify female voices through its manifesto, and partnerships with local NGOs, all year round. Pink October activations will happen across all MGallery Collection hotels, with additional celebrations taking place locally. Initiatives across all MGallery hotels include:

A series of internal competitions will take place, including events and training to help educate people around the world about the early signs and symptoms of breast cancer. MGallery Heartists will also participate by running as many kilometres as possible throughout Pink October. The MGallery Collection hotel, whose Heartists have covered the most distance, will receive the equivalent amount in euros in donations from MGallery for the Gustave Roussy, the first European cancer centre. Furthermore, guests will have the opportunity to contribute by making a two euro per night donation to a selected local breast cancer awareness association.

Encouraging education and self-examination

Guests can educate themselves about early signs and symptoms of breast cancer by scanning a QR code sticker in the bathrooms. When scanned, they will gain access to an exclusive video podcast that shares insights into breast cancer prevention, including tips on self-examination and early detection techniques.

Iconic landmarks illuminated pink

A selection of hotels, known for their unique designs, will illuminate their facades with eye-popping pink, lighting up the surrounding area to support breast cancer awareness month. This follows the footsteps of the Eiffel Tower, the Empire State Building, and Christ Rédempteur in being decorated in glorious pink this month. Through the front doors, staff and colleagues will come together, proudly wearing pink ribbons to greet guests with a refreshing Pink October welcome drink.

MGallery partners to make Pink October stand out

Djhor x MGallery Collection icon

October will also see the MGallery Collection partner with Djhor, the esteemed French artist who has created the limited-edition Pink Icon illustration for MGallery Collection hotels. The design features a round circle to subtly represent the breast, hands to signify care, and a lotus symbolizing health and courage, adding a stylish splash of colour to MGallery. Guests can purchase this both at MGallery Collection hotels and online.

Support Pink October with luxury Sleepwear

2024 sees the return of MGallery’s collaboration with Pour Les Femmes, a brand launched by actress and activist Robin Wright and designer Karen Fowler, with a range of specially crafted luxury sleepwear available to buy in hotels and online. The social enterprise sleepwear company is famed for its dedication to supporting women in uncertain circumstances.

All proceeds from sales of sleepwear and icons during October will be donated to the French cancer treatment centre Gustave Roussy when bought online or to local NGOs for breast cancer prevention and awareness when purchased in a hotel.

A series of special activities will be taking place in a selection of MGallery Collection hotels internationally:
