Marriott Tops FORTUNE’s List
Marriott International has once again been recognized in FORTUNE Magazine’s list of the World’s Most Admired Companies. The company has continuously appeared on this prestigious list since its inception in 1998. Marriott ranked first in the Hotels, Casinos, and Resorts category this year and 13th overall.
FORTUNE’s annual assessment evaluates companies from various industries using nine corporate reputation criteria, including leadership quality, innovation, social responsibility, and talent attraction.

This accolade adds to other recent honours for the company, including being named one of FORTUNE and Great Place to Work’s 100 Best Companies to Work For in 2024. It also reflects the successful launch of Marriott’s people brand, “Be,” in 2023. Aimed at attracting and retaining top talent, “Be” empowers associates to achieve their career aspirations, provides growth opportunities within the hospitality sector, and reinforces Marriott’s commitment to inclusivity.
As Marriott approaches its 100th anniversary, the company continues to uphold its core values: prioritizing people, pursuing excellence, embracing change, acting with integrity, and serving the global community.
In 2024, company associates volunteered over 3.4 million hours in local communities worldwide, accumulating more than 14.8 million volunteer hours since 2016. These efforts include disaster response and support for recovery initiatives in Hawaii, Kenya, Haiti, and, more recently, Los Angeles, California. Furthermore, Marriott has trained over 1.4 million associates in human trafficking awareness since 2016, aiming for all on-property staff to recognize signs and respond appropriately. Additionally, Marriott’s training programs have achieved 2.2 million completions by hospitality professionals outside the company.
