Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants Join Forces with Westcourt in Downtown Orlando

Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts' luxury and lifestyle portfolio, has announced a new partnership with JMA Ventures and Machete Group to build the brand's first luxury hotel in Orlando. The new hotel will be next to the Kia Center arena as part of Westcourt's new mixed-use sports and entertainment development.

The new 261-room, 11-story Kimpton hotel will complement the city’s energizing atmosphere by providing guests with first-class social spaces. The hotel will feature over 16,000 square feet of indoor meeting space, providing guests with customizable options to ensure every event is truly memorable. Additional social touchpoints include a full-service restaurant, lobby bar, cafe, pool bar, and pool lounge. Like all Kimpton hotels, the property will also feature perks such as Kimpton Kickstart morning coffee and tea service, Kimpton Social every evening, a “Forgot It? We’ve Got It!” program, in-room yoga mats, and pet-friendly policies.

The hotel will feature 261 rooms

Westcourt will be built on a large eight-acre site bordered by Church Street to the south, Division Avenue to the west, Central Boulevard to the north, and Hughey Avenue to the east. The development will include 265 high-quality rental apartments, office space covering up to 300,000 square feet, and a retail area of 120,000 square feet, offering excellent dining and entertainment options.

The new Kimpton Orlando will have a 3,500-person live event venue, several meeting spaces, and a parking garage with 1,140 spaces. Guests staying at the hotel will also enjoy Westcourt's 1.5 acres of outdoor common areas, great for enjoying the Florida sunshine.

Orlando is known as "The City Beautiful" and is famous for its entertainment options. However, it also offers many outdoor activities, with 140 parks and 100 lakes nearby. One of the most popular lakes in the city is Lake Eola, just a 10-minute walk from the hotel. It's an excellent place for paddleboat rides and strolls along its walking paths.

The new Kimpton Orlando will be the seventh Kimpton hotel in Florida. In recent years, IHG has expanded its luxury and lifestyle portfolio, making it one of the largest in the hospitality industry. Globally, these brands represent a growing proportion of IHG, with nearly 900 hotels open or in the pipeline.
