IHG to Open Holiday Inn in Puri by 2028
IHG Hotels and Resorts has signed a management agreement with Ananya Group (Prabhukrupa Estates and Properties) to develop a Holiday Inn hotel in Puri, Odisha. The hotel is expected to open in late 2028, reflecting IHG’s strategy to strengthen its presence in high-growth markets across India.
The upcoming Holiday Inn Puri will offer 100 rooms with sea views and include three meeting spaces, featuring a grand ballroom for social gatherings and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) events. The hotel will also introduce the brand’s Open Lobby concept, providing a multi-functional space for guests to work, dine, and relax.
Located along the Bay of Bengal, Puri is known for the Jagannath Temple, which attracts over 2 million tourists annually. The city is also a spiritual hub and a popular beach destination, drawing visitors to cultural sites like Chilika Lake and the Sun Temple in Konark. With substantial road and air connectivity, the hotel aims to cater to both spiritual and leisure travellers.
