Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) and CG Hospitality have announced a strategic partnership to extend their current association with TAL Hotels & Resorts Limited and Taj Safaris Limited. Through their Ekyam platform, the goal is to achieve a portfolio of 25 hotels by 2025. Ekyam will primarily pursue opportunities in destinations that offer adventure experiences across the Indian Ocean and Greater Himalayan regions and wildlife escapes.
Puneet Chhatwal, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of IHCL expressed his enthusiasm, stating that IHCL and CG Hospitality have enjoyed a fruitful partnership for over two decades. He added that this collaboration will drive accelerated growth in the Indian Subcontinent, promising a bright future for both organizations.
The current operating footprint in the Indian Subcontinent and Middle East includes Taj Exotica Resort & Spa, Taj Coral Reef Resort & Spa in the Maldives, Taj Samudra, Colombo, Sri Lanka, Taj Jumeirah Lakes Towers, Dubai, and Taj Safaris, the wildlife luxury lodges in India and Nepal.
Rahul Chaudhary, MD of CG Hospitality, said that the platform will commence with the current portfolio of 11 operating hotels and is committed to onboarding 14 more hotels under this partnership.

The platform will be led by Ram Maheshwari, Vice President Commercial. By 2025, the goal is to have a portfolio of 25 hotels with 2,500 rooms.
