Andaz Jakarta Sudirman: Hyatt's Latest Luxury Addition
Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced that a Hyatt affiliate has signed a management agreement with PT Central Sudirman Development to open the first Andaz hotel in Jakarta, Indonesia. The hotel, named Andaz Jakarta Sudirman, is set to open in early 2028 and will be part of Two Sudirman Jakarta, a mixed-use two-tower development that will be among the tallest skyscrapers in the country.
Situated in the heart of the central business district, Andaz Jakarta Sudirman will be Indonesia's first Andaz-branded urban hotel, complementing the Andaz Bali resort that opened in 2021. This addition will expand Hyatt's portfolio in Indonesia, joining 14 properties operating under various brands, including Alila, Andaz, Park Hyatt, Grand Hyatt, Hyatt Place, and Hyatt Regency.
David Udell, Hyatt's group president for Asia Pacific, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership with PT Central Sudirman Development and the opportunity to introduce the imaginative and self-expressive ethos of the Andaz brand to Jakarta. Hendra Lubis, President Director of PT Central Sudirman Development, expressed excitement about collaborating with Hyatt and bringing the prestigious Andaz brand to Jakarta through the Two Sudirman Jakarta development.
The Two Sudirman Jakarta development is currently under construction and will be centrally located along Sudirman Street, Jakarta's main street in the central business district. Furthermore, the development will provide convenient access to public transportation, including the MRT (Jakarta Mass Rapid Transit) and LRT (Light Rapid Transit) and direct connectivity to Soekarno-Hatta International Airport through the Airport Rail Link.
Andaz Jakarta Sudirman will occupy floors 40 to 72 of Tower A, providing breathtaking city views. Tokyo-based Design Studio Spin will design the hotel's interiors, including the 198 hotel rooms and 167 serviced apartments. Additionally, the hotel will feature the signature Andaz Lounge, a fitness centre, an outdoor pool, meeting rooms, an all-day dining venue, a bar, and a speciality restaurant on the top floor.
