Banyan Group, a renowned global hospitality leader, has announced the opening of its inaugural property in Japan, the Banyan Tree Higashiyama Kyoto, set to open in the third quarter of 2024. Located in Kyoto City's historic Higashiyama Ward, this new establishment will feature 52 rooms, a signature Banyan Tree Spa, and two distinctive dining venues.

It is situated close to significant sites such as the Kiyomizu-dera and Kodai-ji Temples. The hotel in Kyoto features a unique Noh theatre stage designed by the acclaimed architect Kengo Kuma.
