As the most recognised luxury hotel brand in the MICHELIN Guide Thailand’s first-ever hotel selection, four Anantara properties were presented with Keys, including:
- Anantara Golden Triangle Elephant Camp & Resort: Two Key Distinction
- Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel: One Key Distinction
- Anantara Hua Hin Resort: One Key Distinction
- Anantara Lawana Koh Samui Resort: One Key Distinction
Anantara Hotels & Resorts has announced that four of the brand’s iconic properties have been recognized in the MICHELIN Guide Thailand global ranking. Anantara Golden Triangle Elephant Camp & Resort was awarded the MICHELIN Two Key distinction, making it one of only 19 hotels in the country to achieve this accolade. Additionally, Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel, Anantara Lawana Koh Samui Resort, and Anantara Hua Hin Resort were among the 31 hotels and resorts awarded the MICHELIN One Key distinction, making Anantara the most recognized luxury hotel brand in this year’s MICHELIN Guide Thailand.
The MICHELIN Keys celebrate the world’s most exceptional hotels and resorts, representing the pinnacle of hospitality. Like the MICHELIN Stars for restaurants, the Keys result from extensive evaluation by Inspectors and signify the most outstanding hotels in the country.
This announcement marks the fourth year of MICHELIN's extensive hotel selection refresh, which now features over 5,000 hotels worldwide. None of these establishments are simply places to spend the night. They are hotels and resorts that significantly contribute to the guest experience. Each one has been thoroughly evaluated and rated on five categories: architecture and interior design, quality and consistency of service, overall personality and character, value for the price, and impact on the guest experience in a specific setting.
MICHELIN Two Key Distinctions
Anantara Golden Triangle Elephant Camp & Resort is located in the heart of the Golden Triangle, where Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar meet. The MICHELIN Guide describes it as 'ageless and unspoiled'. The resort is situated amidst 160 acres of bamboo forest, rice paddies, countryside, and Indigenous gardens and is home to Asia’s premier elephant camp and sanctuary.MICHELIN One Key Distinction
The brand's flagship hotel in Bangkok, Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel, is described by the MICHELIN Guide as "an opulent, colonial-style grand hotel that has quickly become a favourite among upper-crust locals." The hotel features traditional Thai architecture and beautiful secret gardens, exuding elegant simplicity and offering a serene exclusivity that feels far removed from the bustling city.
The MICHELIN Guide has credited the Anantara Lawana Koh Samui Resort with creating an atmosphere of tranquil seclusion while still offering easy access to all the bustle of this vibrant island destination. The resort offers a comfortable residential feeling rather than a deep-jungle thatched-roof one. Anantara has always specialized in a sophisticated and urbane version of the high-end beach escape; this one is no different on that score.
Anantara Hua Hin Resort is a contemporary, classic, and peaceful resort. It is the iconic debut property of the Anantara brand and the most elegant hotel in Hua Hin. Designed in the style of an ancient Thai village and located right beside the beach, this resort has won numerous awards and inspired dozens more Anantara properties around the globe.
We are deeply honoured to have four iconic hotels and resorts recognised among Thailand's first MICHELIN Key hotels. As one of Thailand's only homegrown hotel brands, to receive a MICHELIN Two Key distinction for Anantara Golden Triangle and one MICHELIN One Key distinction for Anantara Siam, Anantara Lawana, and Anantara Hua Hin is a testament to the commitment to excellence from our dedicated and passionate colleagues, who continue to push boundaries and set new standards in the world of luxury hospitality. -Puneet Dhawan, Head of Asia, Minor Hotels"
