Accor's Newest Addition: Grand Mercure Wuhan

Accor Greater China has announced the opening of a new addition to its collection of Grand Mercure Hotels & Resorts. The Grand Mercure Wuhan International Expo Center invites guests to discover the Yangtze River's beauty, the Wuhan's vibrant culture, and the Hubei Province's rich heritage. This flagship hotel's opening will be followed by six more Grand Mercure hotel openings nationwide by the end of 2024. Accor has a portfolio of 20 Grand Mercure hotels in operation across Greater China, with nearly 50 more addresses in development.

When guests arrive at the Grand Mercure Wuhan International Expo Center, they will be greeted by a design that celebrates Hubei culture. The design features artwork and motifs inspired by the region's numerous lakes, rivers, and yellow cranes. A striking staircase welcomes guests, inviting them to transition from their travels to the brand's unique sensory experience. The hotel offers 215 guestrooms and suites, all luxuriously appointed with locally inspired amenities and bedding, enhancing the overall experience and sense of place.

The event facilities at Grand Mercure Wuhan International Expo Center include the 375 sqm Grand Mercure Grand Ballroom. It has 4.2m floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the cityscape. The venue has LCD screens, advanced sound systems, and an adaptable Galaxy lighting setup, creating an ideal atmosphere for meetings, weddings, and celebrations.

Grand Mercure Wuhan International Expo Center offers a taste of Hubei through its food. The hotel uses fresh local ingredients to create various dishes, blending modern and traditional Chinese flavours. "HE" is a restaurant that serves regional and international cuisine, including Southeast Asian specialities and local dishes. "YING" Lobby Lounge serves Hubei tea and provides a cozy atmosphere for relaxing or enjoying afternoon tea. "ZHUAN" Chinese restaurant specializes in high-end Cantonese cuisine and offers reception rooms and private dining rooms for special occasions and events.

Accor is set to open six new Grand Mercure destinations by the end of 2024, expanding its presence in Greater China and celebrating cultural heritage with each new address. The upcoming openings include Grand Mercure Changzhou Luoxi, Grand Mercure Hangzhou Qingshan Lake, Grand Mercure Lushan Jade, Grand Mercure Sanya Yalong Bay, Grand Mercure Kunming South, and Grand Mercure Shiyan.
