APPOINTMENT
Four Seasons Resort and Residences Whistler has announced the appointment of Shiv Kappal as Executive Chef.
In his new role, Chef Kappal will lead all culinary operations, including signature restaurant SIDECUT Steakhouse, Braidwood Tavern, and the resort’s evolving culinary program and innovative initiatives.

A Four Seasons veteran, Chef Shiv Kappal holds over 18 years of global experience in the culinary sector. He will be bringing a mix of creativity, leadership, and cultural curiosity to the Whistler team.
Chef Shiv Kappal joined the brand during the pre-opening phase of Four Seasons Hotel Mumbai. His career has included culinary roles at Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Landaa Giraavaru, Four Seasons Hotel Doha, and Four Seasons Hotel Abu Dhabi, where he was part of the opening team for Café Milano.

Most recently, Chef Shiv served as Executive Sous Chef at Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Landaa Giraavaru, where he was responsible for the operations of five dining outlets and managed culinary programs on the resort’s private island.
Chef Shiv has traveled to over 30 countries, gaining exposure to various food cultures and culinary practices. During his time in the Maldives, he spent time diving local reefs. In Whistler, he plans to explore outdoor activities in the alpine environment.
