Discovering Manila

Manila, the Philippines' capital, offers a fusion of the old and the new. New skyscrapers rise above the remnants of the nation's lengthy colonial past, such as Fort Santiago and the baroque San Agustin Church. This melting pot of cultures has also resulted in a distinctive and well-known culinary heritage. The Philippines, an archipelago of 7,000 islands, is known for its beautiful landscapes, which include emerald rice terraces, limestone cliffs, turquoise lagoons, and white sand beaches.
