IHG Appoints Somali Bajpai As Cluster Marketing Manager

Crowne Plaza in New Delhi’s Mayur Vihar and Holiday Inn Katra have appointed Somali Bajpai as their cluster marketing manager. Both the hotels fall under the IHG Hotels & Resorts umbrella. Bajpai, in the role, will aim to enhance the brands’ presence and reputation and ensure improvement of their market penetration.

Regarding the appointment, Veenu Rastogi, area director of sales and marketing, IHC South West Asia and DOSM, Crowne Plaza Mayur Vihar, said, “Somali is known for her knack for creating strategic collaborations with media and industry partners. Her appointment signified a strategic initiative to innovate marketing strategies and reinforce the market positioning of both Crowne Plaza New Delhi Mayur Vihar and Holiday Inn Katra within the IHG portfolio.”

Bajpai’s Credentials

Somali has worked with Adfactors PR, PR Pundit, HT City, and DD news in the past. She was also one of the main hands behind the award-winning food festivals at Crowne Plaza in New Delhi’s Okhla. She has been awarded PR Moments 30 Under 30, Exchange4Media 30 Under 30, and the Women Achiever’s Award by Impact magazine. She was also the first runner-up for the Hotelier India Award in the marketing category as well as the first runner-up in the PR category for Big F Awards. An alumna of the Indian Institute of Mass Communication, New Delhi, she also bagged the ‘Innovative Leader of the Year’ title at the e4m PR & Corp Comm Women Achievers Award 2020.
