According to a report from South Korea's Yonhap news agency, the event caused chaos onboard as the plane dropped from more than 30,000 feet to 9,000 feet. This precipitous drop in altitude led the cabin pressurisation system to fail, resulting in health hazards and severe discomfort for passengers.

According to reports, two fliers experienced nosebleeds, and 15 others reported earache and hyperventilation. A Taiwanese passenger shared a video on Instagram explaining how the plane dipped shortly after dinner service and experienced turbulence in the cabin.
