$1M Donation from Delta to Red Cross

Delta Air Lines is contributing $1 million to the American Red Cross to assist the tens of thousands of individuals affected by the devastating and rapidly spreading wildfires in California.

This donation is in addition to the $1 million grant provided to the American Red Cross as part of its Annual Disaster Giving Program (ADGP) through The Delta Air Lines Foundation. Delta's support helps meet the disaster response needs of the American Red Cross as they address emergencies throughout the year, including hurricanes, tornadoes, wildfires, home fires, and more.

"Serving people—whether they are our customers or our neighbours in the communities we live, work, and serve—is part of Delta's DNA," said Tad Hutcheson, Managing Director of Community Engagement.

"The destruction in California, particularly in the Los Angeles area, is heartbreaking, and we want to do what we can to help those in need. One of the most effective ways to support the community is by investing in the disaster relief efforts of the American Red Cross, our partner for 84 years."

Customers who wish to support the relief efforts for wildfire victims can donate through Delta's customer microsite, created in partnership with the Red Cross. Contributions will go toward immediate relief needs.

Delta is the American Red Cross's longest-standing nonprofit partner. This collaboration has enabled the airline, along with its customers and employees, to assist those in need since 1941. Delta has been the largest corporate blood drive sponsor in the U.S. for seven consecutive years.
