As the 'End of Summer Sale' starts, British Airways Holidays has listed the most popular destinations for 2025 holidays so far. New York remains the top spot. Phuket and Bangkok are also gaining popularity due to the anticipation surrounding an Emmy-winning TV comedy drama's third season. This has made them potential hotspots for next year, ranking 16th and 20th, respectively.
UK travellers have shown interest in new destinations. Nashville is now at number 22 on the list, possibly due to the renewed popularity of country music. Corfu follows at number 23 with the opening of new hotels. Lastly, Australia appears at number 25.
Los Angeles is set to host a series of major sporting events in the near future, which could be a significant factor in its recent rise in popularity as a destination. Additionally, Grenada has gained attention from viewers of a recent popular TV show, resulting in a significant jump of five places in rankings.
The top five destinations are listed below, and the complete list can be seen here
- New York: Retains the top spot once again
- Orlando: Also a non-mover
- Las Vegas: Climbs one spot to take the bronze position
- Maldives: Drops down one place to just miss out on a podium finish
