Air India's A320 Fleet Gets a Chic Makeover with New Cabins
Air India showcased a three-class arrangement for their recently inducted narrow-body aircraft. Air India's A320neo aircraft will now provide a new business class, an all-new premium economy, and a new economy cabin experience on local and short-haul international routes.
Air India has refurbished two new A320neo aircraft - VT-RTW and VT-RTZ - in a three-class configuration with eight sumptuous seats in business, 24 extra legroom seats in premium economy, and 132 comfortable seats in economy, providing guests with a greater choice. With this, Air India introduces Premium Economy cabins for the first time on narrowbody aircraft.
Subtle cabin mood lighting, spacious legroom, and wider pitch, as well as modern features such as portable electronic device (PED) holders and USB ports to charge mobile phones, laptops, and other gadgets, will all help to provide guests in all three cabins with an inflight experience tailored to the needs of today's discerning flyers.
Air India intends to add the three-class configuration to its full-service narrow-body fleet within the next year. Existing aircraft are now being gradually inducted for refit, while new aircraft joining the fleet will be outfitted with the most recent Air India experience.
