APPOINTMENT
Amit Mehta has been promoted to Vice President of Operations at Auro Hotels India. Based in Surat, Gujarat, Amit has almost 28 years of experience in the hotel sector, having worked for companies like Marriott and Taj. During his long career, he worked for Taj Hotels for 23 years, holding essential positions in Mumbai, Kolkata, New Delhi, Surajkund NCR, and Surat. After that, he moved to Marriott.

As the general manager and area director of the Surat Marriott Hotel, Amit joined Auro Hotels India in 2019. In this capacity, he significantly contributed to the company’s efforts to improve service standards and manage its hotel operations. In his new role as vice president of operations, Amit will oversee all operations for Auro Hotels in India, including the Surat Marriott Hotel and Courtyard by Marriott Surat, and upcoming initiatives to increase the company’s presence in the country’s hospitality industry.
