Technology for Civil Advancement

In hopes of leveraging technology for the advancement of civil aviation and governance, the Ministry of Civil Aviation organised a special meeting with the representatives of YouTube and Google. The meeting, held in New Delhi on August 6, 2024, was spearheaded by the Union Minister of Civil Aviation, Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu and was attended by Neel Mohan (global head, YouTube), Sanjay Gupta (region head, Asia Pacific Region, Google), Sreenivas Reddy (MD, government affairs), and Lesslie Miller (global VP, Government Affairs, YouTube).

During the meeting, the leaders deliberated on the advancing role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in governance and explored innovative Google solutions that can enhance governance using AI. Rammohan Naidu emphasised the potential of AI to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and foster transparency within the civil aviation sector.

Naidu also expressed his optimism about the positive outcomes of this collaboration, stating, "The integration of AI and technology in governance and civil aviation holds immense potential. Neel Mohan highlighted the significant growth of YouTube's content creation capacity, which has been instrumental in educating and entertaining billions worldwide.
