Satair, an Airbus Services company in the commercial aerospace aftermarket, has announced the opening of its new Logistics & Service Centre in Hamburg, Germany. Located in the Wilhelmsburg area of Hamburg, this 56,500 m² facility is the largest warehouse within Airbus Group to date, representing a significant expansion of Satair's global footprint. The centre will primarily manage Tools and large parts (Long Term Storage and Kits).
New Satair Centre
This new facility is Satair’s second in Hamburg, complementing the existing Service & Logistics Centre in Fuhlsbüttel managing small and medium sized parts. Together, these centres operate under an integrated warehouse solution, creating a comprehensive logistics network across both locations.
Thomas Moik, COO of Satair, remarked, "Strategically positioned in Wilhelmsburg, our new facility complements our existing operations in Hamburg, aiming for enhanced customer satisfaction while also ensuring company growth. This expansion significantly enhances our ability to serve customers across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, in particular, while also reinforcing our global service reach."
Looking ahead, Satair plans to further expand the capabilities of the Wilhelmsburg facility by adding in-house carpentry for customised shipping solutions and introducing tool repair services. These enhancements will strengthen Satair's commitment to providing comprehensive, end-to-end solutions for its customers worldwide.
