The South Korean airline Jeju Air is now witnessing a massive surge in travel deals and ticket cancellations by travellers after a deadly crash involving a plane from the aviation company. Jeju Air's Troubled Times Jeju Air has revealed that the airline has witnessed more than 68,000 cancellations for its flight reservations till now. Out of these 68,000 tickets, around 34,000 were for international routes and over 33,000 were for domestic flights within South Korea. The mass avoidance by the passengers comes after a plane crash involving a Jeju Air plane, Flight 7C2216, occurred at Muan International Airport in Muan. The crash killed more than 179 lives and only 2 survivors of the crash have been reported till now. More than 68,000 cancellations for Jeju Air The tragedy has plunged the country into a seven day mourning period where entertainment and cultural events have been cancelled to pay respects to the deceased. The accident also caused the shares of Jeju Air to hit their lowest point. Its shares ticked down 15.7% at their lowest and caused a loss of around 95.7 billion won in market capitalisation. As a result, South Korea's Acting President, Choi Sang-Mok, has asked all the airlines of the country to do a safety inspection.
