IHG Signs Regent Chengdu Hotel
Regent Chengdu to Open in 2029 as IHG Expands in Greater China
IHG Hotels & Resorts has partnered with Newhope Real Estate to introduce the Regent brand to Chengdu, making it the brand’s debut hotel in the city. The hotel is planned to open in the third quarter of 2029 and will strengthen the group’s luxury offerings in Greater China.
Located within the D10 Wangjiang development in Jinjiang District, the hotel will occupy floors 39 to 48 of a 233-metre mixed-use tower, close to Chunxi Road, Tianfu Square and Chengdu’s commercial centre.

Regent Chengdu will offer:
- 180 guestrooms and suites
- Panoramic views of the city skyline and the Jinjiang River
- Signature dining venues
- Dedicated spa
- Personal Havens private spaces
- Experience Agent personalised guest service
- Regent’s With Compliments hospitality programme
The hotel has been designed to provide accommodation, dining and wellness facilities for both business and leisure travellers.

Regent Brand Growth
Since joining the IHG Hotels & Resorts portfolio in 2018, the Regent brand has continued to expand across major cities and resort destinations.
Regent currently operates 11 hotels and resorts worldwide, with 12 additional properties under development. In Greater China, the brand has hotels in Shanghai, Hong Kong, Beijing, Chongqing and Taipei, with Regent Chengdu becoming the latest addition to its regional pipeline.
