JW Marriott New Delhi Aerocity Appoints Chef Saikat Sarkar as Executive Pastry Chef

JW Marriott New Delhi Aerocity has appointed Chef Saikat Sarkar as Executive Pastry Chef. In his new role, he will lead the hotel’s pastry and bakery operations, overseeing menu development, production, and overall pastry offerings across outlets and banqueting.

Chef Saikat brings over 16 years of experience in hospitality. An alumnus of the Institute of Hotel Management (IHM), Chennai, he began his career in 2010 and has since worked with Marriott International and other hospitality groups including IHCL (Taj Hotels), Hyatt Hotels Corporation, The Oberoi Group, and Accor.
His experience spans luxury hotels and resorts, with a focus on bakery, desserts, and banqueting. He also holds a certification in confectionery from Macaroon Pastry School, Bangkok.
His expertise includes artisan breads, viennoiserie, plated desserts, confectionery, and large-scale banquet production. During his career, he has received recognition at culinary competitions, including awards at Food & Hospitality Asia Maldives and Hotel & Hospitality Asia Maldives.
Chef Saikat has progressed through various kitchen roles, gaining experience across operational and leadership functions. He is also involved in team development and training within pastry kitchens.
At JW Marriott New Delhi Aerocity, he will oversee pastry operations across K3 – New Delhi’s Food Theatre, Adrift Kaya, Delhi Baking Company, JW Lounge, Cabanas, and the hotel’s banquet and catering divisions. He will also work on seasonal menus, dessert offerings, and pastry concepts for events, including weddings and large-format functions.
