Taj City Centre Gurugram has announced the appointment of Chef Akshay Kumar as its new Executive Chef.
With over 15 years of experience across several Taj properties, Executive Chef Akshay brings with him extensive culinary expertise and a proven track record of operational excellence.

In his new role, Executive Chef Akshay will spearhead the hotel’s culinary strategy, create innovative recipes, elevate guest experiences, and ensure seamless execution across all dining formats.
Trained at IHM Chennai and the Taj Management Training Program, his career began at Taj Palace, New Delhi, and evolved through key culinary roles across India.
His work has been recognized by industry bodies, including receiving the Best Chef – Continental Cuisine award from the Ministry of Tourism, Telangana in 2023, and the Thai Select Signature Certification from the Royal Thai Government for his work at Thai Pavilion.
