APPOINTMENT
Sayaji Hotel Vadodara has announced the appointment of Chef Mahtab Ansari as its new Executive Chef, effective June 2025.

Chef Ansari’s professional journey began at La Auberge, a French restaurant in the UK, where he developed a solid foundation in European cuisine. He later contributed to the pre-opening of Planet Hollywood in Dubai and worked with the globally recognized Celebrity Cruise Line, gaining valuable experience in large-scale food operations and diverse culinary environments.
His portfolio also includes key roles in launching major hospitality brands such as the InterContinental Hotel and JW Marriott Hotels. In India, Chef Ansari has worked with Oakwood Premier Apartments, Choice Hotels in Mumbai, and Centrepoint Hotels in Nagpur, managing culinary operations and leading multi-disciplinary kitchen teams.
Prior to joining Sayaji Hotel Vadodara, Chef Ansari was involved in several short-term culinary assignments in India and abroad. These experiences allowed him to explore a wide range of cuisines and service styles, contributing to a well-rounded approach to food presentation, kitchen management, and guest satisfaction.
At Sayaji Hotel Vadodara, Chef Ansari will focus on refining the hotel’s culinary offerings. His approach emphasizes consistency, technique, and guest-oriented service — key elements that align with Sayaji Hotels’ commitment to delivering quality dining experiences.
