Lemon Tree Hotels has announced two new leadership appointments- Vishvapreet Singh Cheema has been appointed as the president of the company, and Niket Sood as Vice President of Commercial Strategy.
Vishvapreet Singh Cheema

Vishwapreet Singh Cheema brings with him three decades of experience across renowned global hospitality brands. Before this, he led South West Asia operations at IHG Hotels & Resorts, managing key markets such as India, Nepal, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka. His extensive background spans leadership roles at InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, Marriott International, Radisson, and Oberoi Hotels & Resorts, giving him expertise in hotel operations, strategic planning, and regional growth. Most recently, he served as the Head of Operations for South West Asia at IHG Hotels, where he was responsible for key markets including India, Nepal, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka.
With a proven track record in driving performance and excellence across diverse geographies, Vishvapreet’s leadership at Lemon Tree Hotels is planned to support the group’s continued expansion in the hospitality sector. His appointment comes at a time when the company is focused on strengthening operational efficiency and scaling new markets.
Vishvapreet Cheema began his professional journey with Oberoi Hotels & Resorts and has since built an impressive career marked by strategic leadership and operational excellence.
Niket Sood

Niket brings a legacy of leadership by working across global hospitality giants like Accor and Marriott International. His career spans everything from front-office operations to leading commercial strategy for multi-brand portfolios.
Before joining at Lemon Tree Hotels, he was the Regional Director of Topline Performance at Accor India & South Asia, where he led commercial strategy across Sales, Revenue, Distribution and Loyalty, helping to deliver above-market performance across a diverse portfolio. Earlier, during his eight year stint with Marriott International, he worked on shaping the revenue strategy for North India, having worked across multiple leadership roles and markets.
