APPOINTMENT
The Golkonda Hotel, Hyderabad, has announced the appointment of Akhil Kumar as its Executive Assistant Manager.
Akhil holds over two decades of experience in the hospitality industry, with expertise in leadership, guest-centric innovations, and operations. Having worked for over 20 years at IHCL-Taj Hotels, one of India’s most renowned hospitality groups, he has contributed in enhancing guest experiences and operational functions across various properties.
Akhil began his career as a Restaurant Manager at IHC-Taj Hotels which helped him build a strong foundation in service precision, quality standards and team collaboration. Before his appointment at The Golkonda Hotel, he held the position of Food & Beverage Manager at Taj Surajkund Resort & Spa. He oversaw the culinary and service operations there. Akhil holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Jamia Milia Islamia University. Later on, he enrolled at the College of Hospitality & Tourism and the American Hotel & Lodging Association.
In his new role, Akhil Kumar will spearhead the hotel’s strategic operations, focus on elevating service excellence, enhancing guest experience and building strong community engagement.
