Watch: Ram Mohan Naidu Visits Bhogapuram Airport

In a video shared by the Ministry of Civil Aviation’s X (formerly Twitter) account, the government has showcased glimpses of Union Minister of Civil Aviation, Ram Mohan Naidu, visiting the site of the Bhogapuram Airport. In the video, Naidu can be seen visiting the construction site of Bhogapuram Airport and interacting with the staff there. He conversed with the construction workers on-site and asked them about the work and the challenges they are facing during the making of the airport. He also shared laughs with the team, boosting everyone’s morale. Watch the video to see how the new airport is coming along. In the tweet, the Ministry of Civil Aviation said, “Hon’ble Union Minister of Civil Aviation, Shri Ram Mohan Naidu, met with the dedicated workers at Bhogapuram Airport, inquired about their well-being, and expressed heartfelt thanks for their crucial role in the airport’s progress.”

Bhogapuram Airport

Bhogapuram Airport, aka GMR Visakhapatnam International Airport, is situated in the Vizianagaram district. Scheduled to be completed by the end of 2025, it will be India’s seventh largest airport by area and the fifteenth largest airport by passenger traffic. N. Chandrababu Naidu presented the first proposal for the airport in 1997.
