APPOINTMENT
The Ritz-Carlton, Pune has announced the appointment of Gagan Sahu as Executive Sous Chef, bringing over 14 years of culinary experience across India’s luxury hotels and restaurants. Known for his modern approach to Indian cuisine, ingredient knowledge, and commitment to sustainability, Chef Gagan is set to elevate the hotel’s celebrated dining experiences.

Gagan Sahu rejoins The Ritz-Carlton, Pune after previous tenure as Chef de Cuisine during the hotel’s pre-opening phase, where he led day-to-day operations for specialty restaurants and the All Day Dining venue. He also spearheaded high-profile culinary showcases such as the Louis XIII Cognac Dinner, the Degree Celsius Dinner, and Lexus Chef’s Table, all of which were praised for their creativity and finesse.
In his most recent roles, Gagan Sahu held leadership positions at Hyatt Regency Pune & Residences and The St Regis Goa, where he was instrumental in launching Susegado, a beachside restaurant concept celebrating coastal Indian cuisine with a modern twist. His strengths lie in managing high-volume banqueting, designing concept-driven menus, and training diverse culinary teams to uphold excellence in food quality, presentation, and guest satisfaction.
In his new role, Gagan Sahu will support the hotel’s expanding culinary vision across Ukiyo, Aasmana, the Tea Lounge, All Day Dining, and Banquets, working closely with the culinary leadership to craft unforgettable gastronomic journeys. He will also play a pivotal role in training and mentoring chefs, driving menu engineering, and ensuring The Ritz-Carlton’s legendary service extends to every plate.
