The launch of Spark by Hilton Toronto Markham, the brand’s introduction into the Canadian market, was announced by Hilton and JM Hospitality Inc. Located just 28 kilometers north of Toronto in the thriving tech and commercial district, the launch of the first Spark in Canada marks a significant milestone in the evolution of the quickly growing premium economy brand. The recent addition of Spark by Hilton Toronto Markham to the growing collection of eight other Spark hotels in various phases of construction across Canada is indicative of the brand’s remarkable growth and attractiveness.
Nine months after the brand’s initial announcement, in September 2023, Spark opened its first hotel in Mystic, Connecticut. The brand made its debut in Europe in May when Spark by Hilton London Romford opened. Currently, Hilton’s brand includes over 50 hotels that are open and over 275 hotels in the works across the globe.
