SWISS Flight LX1413 Diverts Safely After In-Flight Warning
SWISS flight LX1413 from Belgrade to Zurich made an unscheduled landing in Friedrichshafen at midday on 7 July 2025. The Airbus A220-300 was diverted after multiple warning messages appeared in the cockpit and reports of light smoke were detected in the rear of the cabin.
Following standard safety procedures, the crew diverted to the nearest suitable airport. The landing was smooth, and the aircraft taxied to a parking area where all 115 passengers and 5 crew members disembarked safely and calmly.
Medical personnel were present at the airport. Passengers were later transported to Zurich by buses and have either continued their journeys or been rebooked on connecting flights. The crew also travelled to Zurich by road.
A technical team is now inspecting the aircraft, with a focus on the air conditioning systems. No connection has been established between this incident and previous incidents involving the same aircraft type.
SWISS thanked the Friedrichshafen airport and local authorities for their support and apologized to passengers for the disruption.
