Qatar Airways and Philippine Airlines Launch Daily Flights Between Manila and Doha

Qatar Airways Resumes Flights Post Airspace Reopening

Qatar Airways and Philippine Airlines have launched a new daily nonstop service between Manila (MNL) and Doha (DOH) as part of a strategic partnership between the two carriers. The partnership was formally marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Hamad International Airport, attended by senior executives from both airlines.

Among the attendees were Philippine Airlines President Richard Nuttall and Executive Vice President and COO Atty. Carlos Luis Fernandez, alongside executives from the Qatar Airways Group.

Strengthening Connectivity and Cooperation

“This daily service is a key step in our new codeshare partnership with Philippine Airlines. It strengthens ties between the Philippines and Qatar while expanding options for both business and leisure travel.”

He added:

“We are pleased to work closely with Philippine Airlines to offer smoother connections to and from the Philippines via Doha’s Hamad International Airport, which serves as a central hub in the region.”

“This partnership allows us to build on our shared strengths and expand access for travellers between the Philippines and Qatar. We look forward to growing this market and providing better connectivity for our passengers.”

He also expressed gratitude to the various government and airport authorities, as well as partners involved in making the collaboration possible.

Service Details

The daily nonstop flights will be operated by Philippine Airlines using its Airbus A330-300 aircraft, configured with 18 Business Class flat-bed seats and 341 Economy Class seats.

Flight Schedule:

  • Manila to Doha – Flight QR4946/PR684: Departs 18:50, Arrives 23:40

  • Doha to Manila – Flight QR4947/PR685: Departs 01:30, Arrives 16:15

Through this partnership, passengers travelling from Manila can access Qatar Airways’ global network of over 170 destinations via Hamad International Airport.

Expanded Access and Opportunities

Travellers from regions such as Brazil, Spain, the UK, and the US will benefit from more convenient flight options to the Philippines. Qatar Airways currently operates services to four cities in the country: Manila, Cebu, Clark, and Davao, providing entry points to a variety of destinations across the Philippines.
