Qatar Airways Flies Formula 1 Drivers and Team Principals to ‘F1 The Movie’ Premiere in NYC

Qatar Airways Rolls Out Red Carpet for F1 Elite

Qatar Airways, the global partner and official airline of Formula 1, recently hosted Formula 1 drivers and team principals on a charter flight from the 2025 Formula 1 Pirelli Canadian Grand Prix to New York City. The teams had the opportunity to watch the highly anticipated premiere of the upcoming film for the summer season: Apple Original Films’ “F1 The Movie.” This film, produced by Warner Bros. Pictures, will be released in international theatres on June 25, 2025, and in North America on June 27, 2025.

A Boeing 777-300ER flight departed from Montréal–Trudeau International Airport (YUL) and successfully arrived at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), transporting sports stars for their red carpet appearance at the world premiere.

The premiere, in collaboration with Qatar Airways, Warner Bros. Pictures, Apple Original Films, and Formula 1, took place this evening at Radio City Music Hall. Filmmakers, cast members, soundtrack artists, and special guests appeared at the event.

The film was shot during various Formula 1 races over previous seasons, showcasing Qatar Airways’ branding throughout. As the Official Partner of both the film and its premiere, Qatar Airways is proud to be part of this global cinematic celebration, highlighting its growing presence in the world of elite motorsport.

June 16, 2025, marks Qatar Airways’ busiest day in New York to date, with four flights departing from JFK, including a charter flight. This milestone underscores the airline’s continued growth in the United States, with 11 gateways connecting travellers to a global network of over 170 destinations.
