Meet the New Senior VP and GM at The Leela Ambience Gurugram

APPOINTMENT

The Leela Ambience Gurugram Hotel & Residences has appointed Shridhar Nair as the new Senior Vice President and General Manager. In his new role, Nair will be based in Gurugram, leading The Leela Ambience Gurugram and also overseeing The Leela Ambience Convention Hotel, The Leela Mumbai, The Leela Gandhinagar, Mahatma Mandir Convention Centre Complex, and The Imperial Club by The Leela.

Nair’s new role at The Leela Ambience Gurugram Hotel & Residences is expected to enhance further the property’s reputation as a top luxury destination in Delhi NCR. This rejuvenation demonstrates the hotel’s dedication to improving guest experiences, upgrading facilities, providing excellent service, and upholding its tradition of setting new standards in guest satisfaction. Nair has held various leadership positions at Leela properties, including General Manager at The Leela Goa, and has been an important part of the management team for a long time. Before his current role, he was the Senior Vice President of Operations at The Leela Corporate Office, where he was responsible for overseeing and enhancing the performance of multiple properties.

Throughout his career, the visionary has led major projects, including the repositioning of food and beverage operations at The Leela Mumbai and the enhancement of The Leela Goa. He has received numerous hospitality awards, such as the Best General Manager—Luxury from Hotelier India 2014, HOSI 2015, CII 2016, and Business World 2017, in recognition of his exceptional leadership. Nair’s extensive experience is complemented by an impressive educational background, which includes a postgraduate diploma in Hotel Management from IHM Trivandrum, a Bachelor of Arts from Mumbai University, and a General Manager’s certification from Cornell University, USA.
