New Leaders for Cygnett Hotels & Resorts

In a bid to strengthen its leadership unit, Cygnett Hotels & Resorts has announced three new names for the top positions in the company. In a statement, the hotel chain revealed the appointment of Deba Prasad as the company’s new Director of Operations, Rajeev Sharma as the new General Manager of Operations & Pre-Opening Support, and Shyam Bhethanabotla as the newest Chief Technology Officer.

As the newest Director of Operations, Deba Prasad comes with a whopping 27 years of experience in the industry where he has worked with brands like Oberoi Hotels & Resorts, Taj Hotels, Jaypee Hotels & Resorts, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, The LaLiT Hotels, Best Western Hotels, Sterling Holidays, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, and MGM Hotels & Resorts. Prasad is also an alumnus of IHM Pusa and UBI Belgium. Speaking on his appointment, Sarbendra Sarkar, Founder, Cygnett Hotels & Resorts, said, “We are excited to welcome Deba Prasad to our team. His extensive experience and innovative leadership are invaluable as we continue to grow and enhance our offerings. Deba’s vision for operational excellence aligns with our commitment to providing guests with exceptional service and a memorable hospitality experience.”

Sarker also made public the selection of Rajeev Sharma as the newest General Manager of Operations & Pre-Opening Support, on which he said, “Rajeev’s rich background and dynamic approach to hospitality management will be pivotal as we expand and enhance our portfolio. His leadership will be crucial in driving the operational success of our upcoming hotel openings and reinforcing Cygnett’s position as a leader in the hospitality industry.” Rajeev, who has two decades of experience in his bag, will overlook the operations of the company in his new role, aiming to drive the service provided by Cygnett to a whole new level.

Shyam Bhethanabotla, too, has geared up to take over the new role as Chief Technology Officer after having an experience list of over 28 years where he has worked with Reliance Industries Limited, Lucent Technologies, Verizon Technologies, and HCL Group. “Shyam’s extensive background and forward-thinking approach to technology will undoubtedly enhance our capabilities and set new benchmarks for innovation in the hospitality industry. His leadership will be instrumental as we continue to invest in technology that enhances our guest experience and operational efficiency,” Sarker commented.
