Novotel Visakhapatnam Varun Beach, part of Accor, has earned the Green Key certification, a global eco-label for sustainable tourism and hospitality.

The certification highlights the hotel’s ongoing efforts to integrate sustainability into its operations while maintaining guest comfort.

“Sustainability is central to how we operate. This certification strengthens our commitment to eco-friendly practices,” said Lakshmi Sridhar, General Manager of the hotel.

The hotel has implemented various initiatives, including the use of renewable energy, effective waste management, water conservation, energy efficiency, and responsible sourcing, to reduce its environmental impact and support the local community.

The Green Key certification is awarded by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) and is recognised by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC).
