Novotel Guwahati GS Road has announced the appointment of Cham Hun Chakhap as the new Executive Chef.
A seasoned culinary professional, Chef Cham brings with him a wealth of experience in the hospitality industry and a reputation for delivering innovative, revenue-driving culinary excellence.
Before joining Novotel Guwahati, Chef Cham served as the Pre-opening Executive Chef at Vivanta Chitwan, Nepal. He began his culinary journey in 2005 as Section Coordinator Chef at Le Royal Meridien, Mumbai, and went on to hold leadership positions at renowned properties including Renaissance Mumbai Convention Centre and Marriott Executive Apartments, Shangri-La Eros New Delhi, Hotel Kiranshree Grand Guwahati, InterContinental Marine Drive Mumbai, and The Westin Pune.
Chef Cham’s diverse culinary expertise spans Pan Asian, Indian, Western, and Tandoor cuisines. His understanding of global food trends and unwavering commitment to quality will be instrumental in elevating the dining experiences at Novotel Guwahati.
A graduate in Hotel Management from NEIMS College, Assam, Chef Cham blends strong academic grounding with hands-on experience to lead with both creativity and precision.

Originally from Namphake, Naharkatia, Assam, Chef Cham has travelled extensively to countries like China, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand, Singapore, and Nepal, drawing inspiration from each region—particularly from Thailand’s vibrant street food culture.
