Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi has become India’s first airport to launch the government’s new ‘Fast Track Immigration: Trusted Traveller Programme’ (FTI-TTP). Through the programme, Indian passport holders and other OCI cardholders can use the newly installed e-gates and will not have to wait in regular immigration queues. The programme is set up by a joint partnership between the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of Civil Aviation, and the Bureau of Immigration.
The programme and its e-gates were inaugurated by Amit Shah, Union Home Minister, Government of India, on June 22, 2024. Watch as the first passengers use the e-gates for FTI-TTP.
FTI-TTP
FTI-TTP is similar to the Global Entry Program offered by the USA, which allows pre-approved travellers to pass by directly without having to deal with security clearance formalities. In India, the programme has been set up to reduce congestion at the airport and provide travellers with a better-quality experience.
Delhi Airport Says
Delhi Airport said in a statement, “Membership in the programme will be co-terminus with passport validity. The application process requires applicants to submit their biometrics along with other required information as specified in the application form. Registration under FTI-TTP will be completed after necessary verifications and confirmation of eligibility.”

Here is how to sign up for the Fast Track Immigration: Trusted Traveller Programme:
- Sign up at its official website using mobile number.
- Verify email address, and log in with the newly set-up account.
- Click on ‘Apply Online’ and fill the given form.
- Select Delhi Airport when the form asks about the submission of biometrics to different airports.
- Upload required photos.
- A confirmation email will be sent to the submitted email address. Using the same, make the required payment, and your form is complete.
