Second Andaman Tourism Road Show by AATO The second Andaman Tourism Road Show was organised by the Andaman Association of Tour Operators. Organised by the Andaman Association of Tour Operators (AATO), the road show was held across Port Blair, Swaraj Dweep, and Shaheed Dweep. The event was held from June 13-16, 2024 The inaugural ceremony for the event was held on June 13 at the Mansha Regency Hotel in Phoenix Bar and saw in attendance guests like Keshav Chandra, chief secretary, Andaman & Nicobar administration. An exploration of Swaraj Dweep was organised for the next day which highlighted Kalapathar Beach, Radhanagar Beach, Symphony Palms, Deforet Resort, Barefoot, TSG Blue, Taj Exotica, and De Havlok Queen. The show was held across Port Blair, Swaraj Dweep, and Shaheed Dweep Shaheed Dweep was also highlighted with its unique attractions including Tango Beach Resort, Aquyas Resort, Summer Sand Resort, and Bharatpur Beach. Other stops throughout the road show included Cellular Jail, Fortune Resort, 6ix Seashore, Peerless Beach Resort, Hotel Lemon Tree, Zone Connect by Park, and Symphony Samudra Resort. More than 50 tour operators participated in the event More than 50 tour operators from different organisations like the Ministry of Tourism, IATO, TAAI, ATOAI, and ADTOI were seen as participants in the show. Various public figures who are social media influencers, travel bloggers, and travel journalists were also witnessed in the audience. Statement Speaking at the road show, Keshav Chandra said, “Tourism and fisheries are crucial sectors for our region. We are actively working to further develop these areas. Cinque Island has recently been opened to tourists, and we encourage visitors to enjoy its scenic beauty while preserving its natural environment.” He also talked of how the Islands have the potential of becoming a top tourist spot and the various efforts taken to ensure the best features for travellers. Keshav Chandra, chief secretary, Andaman & Nicobar Islands M. Vinod, president, AATO, also addressed the audience at the event and highlighted the various tourist attractions the place has to offer like adventure sports, unique flora and fauna, virgin beaches etc. The road show highlighted the various tourist attractions of the Islands A book celebrating the 20 years of AATO was also launched at the event.
